Wendy Anderson for Volusia County Council

Wendy Anderson is, before anything else, a mom to a great kid, a neighbor who cares deeply about her community, and someone who believes in stepping up when it counts.

Like many residents, she is concerned about where Volusia County is headed—growth without planning, nature being pushed aside, and families struggling to afford to live where they work. Issues such as flooding and water management are at the forefront of her concerns.

That is why Wendy is running for Volusia County Council District 1.

Not to play politics, but to fight for the kind of future we want for our kids. Wendy is committed to addressing these pressing issues through town hall meetings and community engagement.

Her family has called Volusia County home for over two decades. She has taught hundreds of students, volunteered on local boards, and currently serves on the Soil and Water Conservation District.

Volusia deserves leadership that listens, leads with integrity, and puts people before politics. Wendy Anderson is ready to help build a stronger, more resilient Volusia — together.

PUT VOLUSIA FIRST

Wendy Anderson believes that the Volusia County Council should prioritize the needs of local families, first responders, and neighborhoods over special interests. This means addressing critical issues like flooding and ensuring our infrastructure is equipped to handle water challenges. During town hall meetings, Wendy will advocate for responsible budgeting and stronger public services, fighting to ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely and that our communities come first—every time!

KEEP FARMERS FARMING

Agriculture is a vital part of Volusia’s heritage, culture, and its future. Wendy Anderson will protect our working lands, support local farmers, and champion policies that keep agriculture economically viable for the next generation. By investing in sustainable practices, cutting red tape, and defending property rights, she’ll ensure Volusia remains a place where farming families can thrive. Additionally, in town hall meetings, she will address concerns about flooding and water management to safeguard our agricultural lands.

grow our economy, not our footprint

Wendy Anderson understands that Volusia’s growth should strengthen our economy while preserving our quality of life. She advocates for attracting good-paying jobs, expanding small business opportunities, and investing in workforce training—while also addressing concerns like flooding and protecting our natural resources to avoid unchecked sprawl. By focusing on smart, sustainable growth—revitalizing existing communities, enhancing infrastructure, and maintaining Volusia’s unique character—Wendy will contribute to a thriving economy that benefits everyone in Volusia County. During town hall meetings, she emphasizes the importance of water management in these initiatives.
